Nike has been in the media a lot over the past decade for its appalling labour standards, but despite this, continues to source clothing from factories where the labourers are paid far less than is feasible to support a family. The fact that they pay their workers the legal minimum wage for the country in question is irrelevant when you consider that
a) the legal minimum is insufficient and
b) Nike is making an astronomical profit. To give an example, an Indonesian worker in a sports shoe factory is likely to see 0.4% of the retail price of a pair of trainers made in that factory.
